Nature of the work: In this role you will work with a portion of the United States sales team, administering deviated pricing requests while working within established guidelines and polices.
Essential Job Duties:
Strategy / Policy
Perform annual review of pricing policies pertaining to price deviation and recommend updates and changes to pricing leadership
Collaborates in the development and application of general pricing policies
Analyzes profitability for end user bid / agreement opportunities and decides appropriate price deviations
Advises leadership of appropriate price deviation values and trends
Analyzes competitive pricing in all markets and advises leadership of market opportunities, threats, trends and key price points
Provides additional spot pricing analysis as requested by leadership
Constantly audits data for integrity
Conducts periodic audits of systems and processes throughout deviated pricing requests
Initiates periodic audits of other systems within the pricing department
Process / System Review and Development
Develops and maintains system to process, track and monitor deviated pricing requests.
Designs, creates and continuously improves system tools required to perform required analytical functions
Designs and develops pricing analytical reports for effective communication throughout leadership
Processes price deviation requests in a timely fashion
Trains business leaders and sales professionals on price deviation systems, analytic tools, reports and processes to enable more informed strategic decision making
Trains and mentors internal support personnel to facilitate process compliance and self service capability
Education and Experience Required
BA/BS in accounting, finance, marketing or related business field required; MBA preferred
Minimum six (6) to eight (8) years' experience in a pricing or business analysis role
Required experience in managing customer relationships and partnering, collaborating, supporting and engaging a direct sales function
Required experience in data mining and analysis leveraging MS Office programs
SAP and Salesforce.com experience strongly preferred but not required
Work Hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or similar
