The IT Manager will be leading a small team of IT analysts supporting a large cutting edge engineering team. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining current infrastructure as well as planning upgrades. Maintenance of enterprise architecture, including group policy development, active directory administration, data integrity, account/authentication, automating windows scripting, server implementations, rights, privileges and permissions. Responsible for small team and its overall IT networks, user support and data availability.
BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems.
10+ years' experience directly related to Windows System Administration Windows 2008/2012/2016 and desktop support with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications, including Domain Controllers, Active Directory, VMware, Network Administration and Group Policy.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server administration including Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Internet Information Services, SharePoint, VMware and Hyper-V.
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as active directory, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, TLS, SSH, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven track record in Information Technology management.
Demonstrated ability to assign tasks and priorities to team members while keeping mission priorities in mind.
Define new technology recommendations and present them to senior management.
Must become a well-integrated member within all projects/mission areas.
Manage both Linux and Windows Servers, and manage Backups/Restorers for all servers.
Manage Network Firewall to include firewall rules, NAT rules, and VPN access.
Document SOP, policies and procedures as necessary.
Make recommendations for future upgrades.
Document IT policies and procedures and supervise implementation and training for end-user data entry, systems operation, remote monitoring and backups.
Develop and execute disaster procedures and maintain backups.
Oversee and coordinate installation, support, and maintenance of all LAN/WAN hardware, software, and individual workstations. Ensures routine maintenance is conducted for all servers and network hardware.
Manage equipment lifecycle for hardware and other IT-related purchases.
Oversee the troubleshooting and resolution of network and end-user workstations.
Proven track record meeting data availability, backup, recovery, and overall uptime.
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance. Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
Good verbal communication skills.
Preserves assets by proactively implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and information security and control structures.
Recommends IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers and customers.
