Job Description

As a Human Resources Business Partner with Diebold Nixdorf supporting the Enablement functions, you will be responsible for making strategic recommendations with limited guidance to management as well as taking a hands-on approach to implementing HR initiatives. This includes contributions in employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, government compliance, employee engagement, and coaching & development.

Essential Functions:
  • Identify and work to implement program, training, or policy improvements as they relate to HR.
  • Creatively and effectively resolve employee relations issues.
  • Recommend performance improvement courses of actions.
  • Influence customers to follow through on agreed upon course of action to mitigate risk to the company and maintain employee satisfaction.
  • Monitor morale and management practices through daily observation and contact.
  • Evaluate and drive proper and consistent application of practices and policies in areas of staffing, performance management and employee development.
  • Coordinate succession planning and identify training needs with management as necessary.
  • Lead discussions with management in all compensation-related matters to ensure equity of decisions.
  • Provide guidance to management with compensation matters such as job descriptions, performance appraisals, pay adjustments, and talent reviews.
  • Support business-driven organizational changes.
  • Support company diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Counsel employees to resolve issues pertaining to Medical and Life Insurance, 401(K) Plan, Vacations, Holidays, and Leaves of Absence.
  • Monitor unemployment and workers' compensation cases.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or Psychology or have equivalent experience in human resources
  • 3-5 years exempt level HR experience.
  • Must be PC proficient, an effective communicator and be able to interface well with management and employees.
  • Strong leadership ability, including ability to influence managers.
  • Previous employee relations experience required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations required.
  • Ability to maintain confidence, lead thorough employee relations investigations, and positively influence and enhance employee and management relations expected.
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and manage/prioritize a heavy workload with multiple concurrent projects required.
  • Knowledge of Oracle HRIS systems a plus
