Job Description Summary:
This position provides end-to-end Enterprise Monitoring support across multiple platforms, networks, and core banking systems. Will collaborate with teams on monitoring infrastructure availability, data analysis tools, and performance alerting, critical to Key technology stacks and operations. This role will also be accountable for advancing monitoring capabilities, advocating best practices, and instrumenting proper alert notification solutions.
Experience in supporting performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, Splunk, Moogsoft, Netcool, etc.
Experience with product upgrades, including advanced configuration, dashboarding, alerting, and analytics.
Experience with synthetic monitoring tools and user-monitoring components, including performance and load testing.
Strong working knowledge of O/S, Linux, Unix, Windows, etc.
Knowledge of system security and supporting information as it relates to monitoring activities.
Understanding of web server technologies, networks, protocols, client/server, logs.
Understanding of Firewalls, Load-balancers, and network designs.
Understanding of application integration tools such as DNS, SMTP, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, LDAP, SQL, and others.
Experience working with change management systems including incident, problem, knowledge (e.g. Service Now, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Collaborate with teams to integrate Application Performance Management (APM) software (e.g. Dynatrace) for end-to-end visibility.
Responsible for the management, advanced configuration, monitoring, log analysis, and fine tuning of APM.
Monitor the availability and responsiveness of websites and critical applications from an end-user perspective.
Provide leadership for all design, implementation, and maintenance activities related to APM.
Create and implement integration between Dynatrace, Splunk/Elastic, and ServiceNow for enhanced business value.
Implement application monitoring, real-user monitoring, and synthetic solutions across platforms.
Lead the efforts for ongoing SaaS based Dynatrace platform implementations.
Develop new detection methods, improve existing ones, and define content for impending dashboards and alerts.
Participate in process mappings to monitor and alert on critical applications to remove business impacts.
Monitor the agent and server infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization.
Manage application performance, predict, and proactively isolate bottlenecks.
Partner with IT areas to implement performance targets for business applications.
Contribute to continuous innovation initiatives to enhance client service, efficiency and reliability.
Support process improvement assignments and offer guidance on best practices and policies.
3+ years of Application Performance Monitoring experience.
Bachelor s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with scripting and automation.
Experience with large, distributed datacenter environments.
Demonstrate expert technical knowledge by designing and engineering technical solutions.
