About the team

FIS Transfer Agency (TA) is a 24/7, real-time fund investor record-keeping solution covering multiple investment vehicles, including mutual funds, alternative investments, global fund products, money markets, collective funds and shadow/sub-accounting record-keeping arrangements. FIS is uniquely positioned among US investor record-keeping technology with modern server-based technology and a Rich Internet Application user interface operating on an Oracle database. FIS TA's fully integrated business process and content (workflow and document) management capabilities drives operational efficiency and straight-through processing for routine and complex investment operations.

What you will be doing

As a Software Engineer you will be working on various aspects of the application required to deliver high quality product/services to our customers.  We have a new exciting customer that we are onboarding so part of the initial role will be supporting the conversion/onboarding process and functional enhancements to the FIS Transfer Agency system.

* Analyses, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
* Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies
* Participates in software design meetings and analyses user needs to determine technical requirements.
* May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.

What you bring:

* Knowledge of recent .NET versions/frameworks and its newest features
* Proficiency with C#, MVC and SQL
* Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
* Strong understanding of the structure and logic of Object-Oriented programming.
* IIS and TomCat environment knowledge
* Comfortable with third party frameworks Angular, HTML5, JSP, etc.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills analytical skills
* Knowledge of development life cycles (Agile Scrum and Kanban)
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Added bonus if you have:

* Experience in financial services industry.
* Comfortable with Java third party frameworks e.g. Spring, Struts, ReST services etc.
* Microsoft certifications
* Previously worked on large new customer and product development projects.
