Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong development background in web applications support and development with database skills to become an integral part of our support team to help us to manage our development portfolio.  You will be responsible for creating and modifying computer applications software.

This position reports into the IT manager and within the team will be responsible for designing, modifying, developing and implementing software programming applications/operating system as part of an Agile scrum team.  The role will also provide technical support to project team members

Location preference: Hudson Ohio but this position can be based remote for the right candidate in any of the other posted locations listed.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of C# experience building and supporting software applications

Critical Skills Desired:

Excellent communication skills to facilitate gathering and understanding requirements from business groups
MVC or web based technologies experience
Familiar with RESTful APIs, microservices, and/or service-oriented architectures
Demonstrated expertise developing JavaScript and/or Java applications
Experienced with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar) technologies
Experience with version control specifically GitLab or TFS

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

Motivated self-starter who can identify issues, research solutions, and bring them to the team for implementation
You have experience working with a distributed system in production
A strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
Working knowledge of common networking, infrastructure, and technical security fundamentals
Familiar with software build, release, deployment and monitoring tools and practices
You know SQL, MySql or other Sql system, and general best-practices for accessing a database
Experience with Jira/Confluence
Experience with Btrieve, Magic a plus
Experience working on an agile team a plus

EDUCATION

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
