Essential Functions
Essential Functions: Interacts with internal and external customers to perform administrative responsibilities related to shipping in support of division goals.   Provide premier customer service to internal and external customers   Arrange freight carrier services to facilitate domestic and international freight (LTL, TL, AIR, etc.)   Prepare bills of lading, airship bills, and all other required documentation   Interpret freight routings, interacting with Sales/External Customers as necessary   Invoice customer and warehouse shipments   Prepare export expedites   Verify packing slips   Prepare shipping memos   Maintain International and domestic shipment tracking   Transmit ASNs In addition to the above, will also be required to:   Maintain proof of deliveries   Investigate shortage requests   Perform E-Wix preparation   Train new shipping office team members in related responsibilities   Acquire working knowledge of floor shipping systems that interface with shipping office   Perform monthly reporting   Identify lean logistics transportation opportunities Additional Comments: The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed. High school education or equivalent   Good data entry and typing skills required   Strong knowledge of office systems, procedures and equipment   Good verbal and written communication skills   Intermediate computer skills   Team orientation able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities
