Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and will work in our fast-paced corporate office to perform variance analyses, gather
and assemble data, project the financial statements and monitor the P&L. The Financial Analyst will work on a broad range of assignments including, but not limited to, forecasting, budgeting, multi-year strategic planning, month end reporting, board presentations, and senior management presentations. Additional responsibilities include partnering with the sales, marketing and trade management teams to focus on driving overall business performance through sales and trade analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the forecast, budget and multi-year strategic planning process
  • Prepare and maintain financial models and reporting tools
  • Work to optimize reporting tools and profit analysis for senior management
  • Assist with presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Provide financial reports and analyses to management to measure the progress and achievement of earnings
  • Partner with sales, marketing and trade management teams to focus on driving overall business performance
  • Maintain and enhance financial models to evaluate the impact of volume, mix and price changes on contribution margin
  • Validate data from multiple sources and ensures the integrity and accuracy of the data being provided
  • Coordinate and support the monthly close process by preparing month end reporting data and variance analyses, recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data
  • Identify and drive process improvement through standard and ad hoc reporting
  • Create policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with emphasis in business, economics, finance and/or accounting
  • 3-5 years of financial analysis or related experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (spreadsheets, database management, presentations, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills – must be able to structure the problem, collect data and present results
