Job Description


The Product Manager will manage the direction and market delivery of existing products and identifying new products, product features, product strategy, and relevant services.


Responsible for establishing the vision, strategy, and execution of the Hyland Experience Platform (HxP), which is a SaaS-based application delivery platform hosted in a hosted/cloud environment in which Hyland will deliver future products
Continuously evaluate the SaaS industry, market and competition to create a sustainable vision of how to meet the needs of  the market and satisfy customers
Collaborate with industry vertical product management, solutions management, and R&D organizations to align on prioritization and timing of HxP product capabilities that enable business solutions serving these customers segments
Establish and maintain the HxP product roadmap and program-level features backlog, including prioritizing appropriate capabilities against others to drive the most beneficial use of Hyland resources to service the needs of SaaS customers
Development of investment-level business cases and resource allocation leading to successful funded and allocated project resources
Work with R&D leaders including R&D managers, product owners and architects, to ensure appropriate HxP feature backlog management and development progress against established timelines for content services roadmaps
Lead the product lifecycle management of HxP specific capabilities and features and ensure that ongoing appropriate investment is being made in the profitable HxP capabilities that best serve customers
Communicate, evangelize and inspire enthusiasm for the HxP platform internally with other Hylanders at all levels of leadership and externally with customers, partners, and industry professionals
Participate in Cloud/SaaS-related industry events and establish presence as an industry leader for ECM cloud-based software delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience migrating one or more products and associated customers from a premises-based delivery and sales model to a SaaS-based model
Bachelor's degree in a software development or business discipline
Advanced secondary degree (e.g., MBA) in a software development or business discipline


5+ years of established industry experience as a product manager or development manager (or equivalent) for one or more SaaS-based, cloud-delivered applications to B2B customers
Experience with SaaS-based pricing models that account for customer acquisition, computing consumption, and other cloud-delivery specific nuances versus a premise-based deployment
Experience working in an agile software development environment
Demonstrated knowledge of the software development life cycle
Experience in business and spend analytics
High level of customer focus, establish and maintain good customer relationships as an organizational leader
Analytic and strategic thinking, solid decision making skills
Strong planning, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in system analysis, procedure analysis and problem resolution
Collaborate effectively with executives and around the business to get to a consensus on roadmap and deliverables
Strong organizational skills, including demonstrated prioritization skills in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to travel up to 25%
