Full time Exempt: Main Campus; Mon-Fri 8 AM – 5 PM

 

We are seeking a Research Assistant Biobehavioral Health to work in The Child Brain & Development research group, led by Dr. H. Gerry Taylor, is a collaborative team focused on tracking neurodevelopmental outcomes of brain-related conditions.

What Will You Be Doing?

 

Duties will involve direct work with children, adolescents, and caregivers (recruiting participants, interviewing caregivers, and administering assessments), data management (scoring assessments, reviewing medical records, and entering data into collection tools), and dissemination of research findings. This position will require flexibility of work hours to accommodate for scheduling of study visits during evening and weekend hours.

 

Opportunities exist for mentorship and professional development for applicants who are interested in gaining experience that will prepare them to apply for advanced graduate programs, particularly in clinical psychology, developmental psychology, neuropsychology, and/or related fields.








Qualifications





What Are We Looking For?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, neuroscience)
Previous research experience; those with experience in child development, neuropsychology, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply
Experience working or interacting with children and adolescents
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with research participants, supervisors, coworkers, and student supervisees
Familiarity with basic statistical and data management software preferred (e.g., SPSS, REDCap)
A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for use in off-site data collection
Perform other duties as needed
