The integrated Digital Marketing Team Manager is the primary liaison between the national marketing strategy teams and the aligned digital marketing team.  This role is responsible for understanding the business objectives of marketing campaigns and tactics, recommending execution strategies and managing the execution across their team. Using a player/coach approach, this role also has hands-on responsibilities for campaign development. In addition, this digital team lead is responsible for understanding digital marketing best practices and RSM benchmarks, in order to maximize campaign performance.  The digital marketing lead provides regular performance updates to the aligned national strategy teams.

The Digital Marketing Team Manager is responsible for the professional development of his or her team of specialists, including both technical and soft skills development, working in collaboration with the digital marketing technical leads.

The Digital Marketing Team Manager has a deep understanding of traditional marketing strategy combined with practical experience with digital platforms, including website publishing, marketing automation, marketing analytics, etc.

Essential Duties:

Marketing Campaign Planning:
 

Participates in marketing strategy planning process for aligned national LOB and/or industry teams
Key focus on providing critical thinking on development of tactical plans aligned to strategic goals
Provides perspective from cross-functional and cross-LOB/industry experience to recommend large and iterative improvements
Manages communication of strategies through digital marketing team
Understands RSM organizational processes and brings in subject matter experts as appropriate (IMC, ECS, etc)

Marketing Campaign Execution:

Collaborates with marketing, editorial, visual design and event teams as necessary to deliver campaigns on time and within budget
Manages team schedules and collaborates across DM+AE to fill gaps in skills or availability as needed
Publishes content to RSMUS.com and RSMCanada.com
Oversees email marketing campaigns, online events and all digital marketing tactics
Ensures proper tagging/tracking of initiatives to enable results monitoring
Understands and upholds RSM risk management policies and brand guidelines, ensures same from team

Measurement

Maintains focus on campaign performance across multiple programs
Understands measurement best practices for the industry and stay updated on trends
Understands RSM's analytics systems and integrations at a high level, works with marketing analytics team to define specialized campaign reporting requirements (w/national marketing lead)
Holds team accountable to meeting or exceeding established benchmarks and/or monitoring and optimizing programs to continually improve results
Makes recommendations for underperforming campaigns, up to and including replacement/termination of campaigns

Talent Development:

Participates in selection and development of digital marketing specialists, may serve as a career advisor taking an active role in team member's performance planning, evaluation process and coaching
Creates and environment of trust, teamwork, development, empowerment and entrepreneurship through quality communication, relationship development and problem solving
Sets a high standard for team behavior and performance
Other duties as assigned

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent required

Required Technical/Soft Skills:

Proficient to expert skills in website publishing, preferably Adobe Experience Manager
Proficient in marketing analytics, including Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics
Basic to proficient understanding of social media strategy, SEO and marketing automation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience in marketing campaign execution, with a preference for experience in highly matrixed organizations
Deep understanding of digital and content marketing trends, including practical experience implementing digital campaign strategies
Experience leading teams directly or by influence

Required Leadership Skills:

Exceptional client service attitude, with internal team members and stakeholders as well as the ultimate client (external audience)
Ability to translate between practice and technical audiences
Ability to motivate and lead through influence
