General Summary: NuWaves, a premier supplier of RF/MW Subsystems, Design Services, and Products, is actively seeking an innovative, highly-skilled Embedded RF Systems Engineer. This individual will work as part of the engineering design team to deliver innovative solutions for the customer within cost, scope, and schedule.

Performance Objectives

Within 3 months of hire, develop and expand our knowledge base and best practices for RF and SDR technology.
Within 6 months of hire, develop, optimize, and maintain digital signal processing (DSP) software on embedded processors and System on Chip (SoC).
Within 6 months of hire, develop, optimize, and maintain DSP firmware on embedded field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and SoC.
Within 9 months of hire, design cutting-edge, high-speed digital printed circuit boards leveraging expertise on embedded processors or SoC.
Within 9 months of hire, design high performance RF front end circuits based on highly integrated RFICs and/or component-level designs.
Generate a working understanding of NuWaves' business system within 60 days, with the goal of contributing to system improvements thereafter. This includes understanding the company strategy and working within NuWaves' Quality Management System.

Typical Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
4+ years of experience in embedded RF systems (RF SoC, SDR, etc.)
Expertise in design and implementation of software and firmware in an embedded environment
Expertise in Python or equivalent language
Proficiency in HDL (Verilog or VHDL)
Experience in Xilinx Vivado Design Suite
Experience with FPGA, SoC, MPSoC, and RFSoC technology
Experience in defense industry is a plus
Proficiency in high-speed digital circuit, RF circuit and PCB design

U.S. Citizenship is a requirement. EOE M/V/F/D
