 We are seeking a Behavioral Health Community Based Therapist I As a part of a larger multidisciplinary treatment team, this position is for an experienced early childhood mental health professional to deliver brief and ongoing trauma informed classroom consultation services and training to early childhood/pre-school programs in counties including and surrounding Franklin County, including one position focused on the Delaware - Morrow County area.

 What Will You Be Doing?

Work directly with early childhood educators and child care providers to help strengthen children’s social and emotional functioning
Provide classroom observations, consultation and feedback on strategies for managing challenging behaviors using our trauma-informed model and the New Ohio/Georgetown Model of Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Consultation
Facilitate the use of outcome measures to guide consultation and demonstrate program effectiveness along with data collection and data entry
Provide relevant trainings on early childhood topics, resources to support parent engagement and referrals for specific services and supports when appropriate
Provide trauma informed, culturally appropriate interactions and interventions across all professional and clinical settings
This position requires daily travel to early childhood programs within the assigned region
ECMH staff are part of a vibrant, comprehensive behavioral health program for early childhood, including prevention and treatment.


What Are We Looking For?


To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

Master’s degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling, Social Work Marriage and Family Therapy, or Child Development/Early Childhood Education, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ECMH; Preference given to Ohio ECMH credential and/or currently approved Ohio Professional Development Network (OPDN) Registry trainer
Knowledge of child growth and development and family systems which impact on the development of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers preferred.
Ability to engage partners in the local communities serving very young children such as Help Me Grow, local school system, resource and referral agencies and area mental health providers.
Reliable transportation, acceptable driving record and automobile insurance.
