This position is part of the Ethics and Independence Competency Center within APP. This person will perform independence monitoring, maintain the Firm’s restricted entity system, consult on independence matters, and draft guidance, policies and training materials. This person will work under the direction of the Partner in Charge of Ethics and Independence. This individual will need strong organizational skills, research skills, good written and verbal communication skills and an audit background. This role monitors Crowe’s independence systems and processes and consults on technical matters related to ethics and independence. Development of policies, procedures, training and guidance is also required. This position offers limited travel.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity is an individual who is currently at the Senior Manager or equivalent level in a National Office practice with experience in ethics and independence.
What is the role of APP?
APP is responsible for developing and monitoring compliance with professional and firm quality controls, standards, methodologies and addressing audit quality. APP also represents the firm externally by leading and participating on national committees, speaking on behalf of the firm and providing the firm's position on existing and proposed standards. APP also provides an important function within the firm by assisting the Audit & Assurance (A&A) BU in delivering high quality services and work product provided to our assurance clients. APP operates as a national practice by providing expertise on accounting and auditing matters to A&A personnel across the firm. In addition to enhancing the talent in APP through external hiring, we believe a fellowship with APP provides an extremely valuable experience for the further development of our assurance professionals.
Firm Risk Management (FRM): Among its many responsibilities are supporting compliance with professional and firm quality controls, providing legal counsel for the firm and conducting due diligence activities related to firm investments, combinations and acquisitions.
