The Sales Support Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Sales Managers (Customer Business Managers) to support our Kroger account team in managing contracts, system data maintenance, new item set-up, and ad hoc data reporting. This individual will become the functional expert on our Customer's sales systems, possess an analytical and solution oriented mindset, and help the team proactively identify opportunities to improve internal process and deliver better on customer needs.
Input customer promotion contracts and forms such as Slotting, Markdown and Lump Sum Correct events.
Submit new items/ shipper requests, assuring accuracy of distribution lists and contracts.
Troubleshoot and reconcile common order pricing or price change issues, communicating through EDI.
Collaborate with internal Deduction Team to assess deduction validity and actions (I.e., clear or repayment).
Maintain and update internal merchandising grids, and provide assistance as requested on hoc reporting.
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree with major in Marketing or Business a plus.
Minimum of 1 year in broker or manufacturer sales support or analyst role.
Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful with practical understanding of sales, and/or trade marketing processes and planning systems (i.e. TPM).
Highly organized with very effective time management and written/verbal communication skills.
Solid computer skills (MS Word, Excel, pivot tables) and ability to use sales database tracking programs.
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
Experience with Kroger POS data and planning tools strongly preferred (Tradepoint, VIP, Market6).
Experience with indirect / Natural Foods distributors (i.e. DPI, Kehe, UNFI, Jake's) not required but a plus.
