Job Description

The SAP Technical and Integration Lead is responsible for day-to-day oversight and development of SAP applications, including requirement gathering, solutioning, design, coding, testing and deployment, troubleshoot, along with corresponding IT or Project deliverables. The position will work with the development team, functional business analysts, and the business to ensure the overall quality of the technical environment in the SAP landscape. The SAP Technical and Integration Lead will ensure SAP development initiatives are successfully completed in line with Rumpke’s strategic initiatives and deadlines. This position will work with and lead internal and external team resources in development related work, establish and ensure adherence to development standards, processes and procedures. The SAP Technical and Integration Lead supports the technical infrastructure needs and application specialists in the multi-system ERP architecture and has a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, innovations and existing designs for the applications involved and the impact/dependencies upon each other.


General Responsibilities:

Leads the development of the Rumpke technical architecture and understands the impact and needs of the SAP applications across the system landscape

Develop and promote architectural design standards, best practices, guidelines and procedures

Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, work flow analysis, user guides, and functional specification documents

Develops and improves the architectural governance and processes for managing the enterprise applications and solutions

Helps align technology solutions with business strategies, partnering with project management, thread leads, security leads and technology specialists across functional domains

Provide application enhancement and upgrade support, including any re-engineering due to changes of file and table structure of source systems

Participate in ongoing architecture quality review activities to ensure both current and future capability meets architecture standards

Support the BA or Project Manager in the execution of projects

Active participation in defining business case for investments in IT enablement

Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign with IT and business

Evaluates SAP application system needs across multiple systems and develops corresponding application and logical architectures and standards for SAP ecosystem

Leads Technical resources on major initiatives, often utilizing a mix of various tools and techniques

Communicates and educates the technical and business communities on current architectures and technologies and industry trends

Performs technical oversight of implementation projects to assure alignment with architecture and technology standards

Collaborates with the hardware, network and database architects in application design and implementation

Works closely with product vendors and partners ensuring strategic and architectural fit, and ability of product to scale to meet Rumpke requirementsExperience and Education Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Minimum 6 years SAP development experience utilizing SAP NetWeaver and ABAP technologies including any combination of at least five of the following: Workbench, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI, IDOCs, ALV Grids, Webdynpro, LSMW, LTMC, BDCs, SAP Script, Workflow Customization, CPI, Adobe Forms and SAP forms.

Minimum 6 years of experience with ODATA Services.

Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing SAP architecture.

Minimum 5 years of Software Development Life Cycle experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience leading other SAP development resources (employees and/or contractors).

Minimum 3 years of ABAP programming experience in SAP FI, CO, MM, PM, SD, PP.

Minimum 3 years of experience communicating technical and business issues/solutions to all levels of management (for instance, at the full proficiency level).

Minimum 2 years of experience optimizing applications running on HANA database using new ABAP methodology.

Minimum 2 years of developing experience in with Fiori (HTML5/UI5/NetWeaver Gateway)

Minimum 2 years of experience developing and interfacing SAP with mobile technology.

Minimum 2 years of experience SAP Security and Basis administration

Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Project Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or etc.)
