This position has overall responsibility for all facets of maintenance and engineering support in an FDA regulated manufacturing plant environment. This individual will take ownership of all the infrastructure that supports manufacturing and the site. This individual will be a key contributor as we roll out reliability-based maintenance through-out the facility. This person must be well organized and committed to the organization's Lean journey.
What you'll do:
Responsible for all facilities and infrastructure in a 24/7/365 manufacturing facility. This includes and not limited to steam systems, compressed air systems, water treatment systems, electrical systems, processing equipment, cooling tower systems, lighting systems, HVAC and buildings and grounds
Responsible for all facility related contractors and vendors, annual contracts and emergency service work. This includes defining the scope of work, ensuring all work is complete in a safe and professional manner and that all permitting and documentation is thoroughly completed
Will plan and lead process equipment improvement projects via reliability-based improvements and activities.
Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility. Support and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner
Develop and implement key SOP's for operators that eliminate maintenance gaps and promotes cross training and professional growth. Foster employee culture of a learning organization.
Champion a growing passion for lean maintenance programs in both facilities and packaging.
Assist in identify equipment malfunctions, determine corrective and implement such corrective action.
Coordinate materials, machines, methods and metrics (measurements) to ensure an effective operation. Interface with Operations as necessary to schedule relevant work with minimal downtime with emphasis planning. The facility operates 365 days a year.
Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with fiscal responsibility
Support housekeeping and GMP requirements.
Incorporate principles of lean manufacturing such as 5S, key TPS elements, etc.
Foster and maintain good employee relations through all the appropriate methods of communications and positive employee relations practices.
Must be willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed to support assigned projects and installations.

Demonstrate the ability to apply and support new mythologies and corporate programs.
Strong computer skills (SAP and MS Office Suite)
In-depth knowledge of plant operations, including equipment, materials, work flow, etc.
Technical knowledge including PLC/controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, etc. is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
Course works that focus on reliability will be a plus.
3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing with accomplishments focused on reliability improvements.
Must possess sound financial management background including budget preparation and project management
Demonstrate a track record of progressive leadership positions combined with a strong team building skills
FDA experience preferred
PC and Network knowledge preferred
