Reports to: Director of Information Technology
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Analyst - Business and Pricing is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs focused on pricing strategy and price increase realization. This position requires strong business skills and will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying pricing processes and systems. This individual will consult with users to identify current pricing procedures, clarify pricing objectives and have the ability to communicate within the IT team to aid in aligning company technology offerings with business processes.
CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create strategies to increase price realization
Harmonize pricing strategy and build pricing Center of Excellence across Garland Industries
Develop collateral to help Garland Industries customers accept recurring price adjustments
Develop a strategy to clarify to the market the total value of Garland Industries
Create a unified pricing structure across surface protection businesses and channels to address competitive crossover, profit leaks, and pricing process disparities across the business
Understand ERP systems and how they relate to the business.
Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Staying up-to-date on the latest process and advancements to automate and modernize systems.
Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Possess the ability to work without any monitoring or supervision.
Must be able to quickly and professionally react to the unique needs of Garland shareholders.
Handle major job functions in an effective, efficient and positive manner through the use of problem solving, analytical skills and data mining.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Must possess 5+ years of business, accounting, and/or finance experience with escalation in responsibility overtime. A post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance and/or Human Resources is required. Demonstrated strong aptitude for problem-solving, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills are essential. Very strong quantitative and analytical skills along with the ability to convert data into valuable information. Very strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, database apps). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications. Ability to manage and successful work under tight time constraints. Must have the ability to learn new concepts and procedures quickly. Must possess a valid state motor vehicle license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. Must be able to travel when necessary.
Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at facility and/or client meetings/presentations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner. Sit or stand for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Tolerate in climate weather, including excessive heat and cold. Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents. Willingness and ability to travel to client meetings and presentations.
