Requirements and Tasks

This position will support the Facilities Manager and the Maintenance Department in continual process improvements to increase safety and machine uptime.

High School diploma or GED
5 years or more experience preferred in a manufacturing facility as Maintenance Technician, knowledge of CNC machine maintenance preferred
Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls
PLC knowledge preferred – writing and editing code
Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.
Understand ladder logic
Strongly desired: Knowledge of robotics technologies and computer applications working principles and operation manuals; ability to implement and operate them in an automated manufacturing environment (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Seiko, Hitachi, Haas, HEIDENHAIN, Mazatrol)
SAP-PM and Step 7 knowledge is a plus but not required

Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed.

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

High level of interpersonal and communication skills, able to participate on a project team and interface effectively

Productivity Orientation

Knowledge of the factors that influence productivity and ability to maintain focus on organizational factors that maximize operational performance.

Industrial Automation/Automatic Control

Knowledge of various automatic control systems, processes, and methodologies in a manufacturing environment; ability to design, implement and maintain automatic production systems/processes to improve productivity and efficiency, as well as minimize human intervention.

Manufacturing Equipment

Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.

Familiarity with NC controls and servo circuits
Experience in a CNC machining environment

Manufacturing Safety

Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing safety; ability to achieve safety and security requirements of manufacturing staff and work environment.

Mechanical Assembly

Knowledge of various areas of mechanical assembly expertise, skills, and techniques; ability to perform mechanical assemblies and subassemblies and related tasks such as material procurement, process development, fabrication, and testing.

Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls is preferred

Robotics/Computer Controlled Machinery

Knowledge of robotics technologies and computer applications working principles and operation manuals; ability to implement and operate them in an automated manufacturing environment.

Preferred knowledge in Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Seiko, Hitachi, Haas, HEIDENHAIN, Mazatrol
Ability to properly use oscilloscope is preferred
Knowledge of Ethernet communications, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP

Troubleshooting Technical Problems

Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve technical (mechanical, electrical, systems or operational) problems in a manufacturing environment.
