The Information Security Architect is a thought leader responsible for consulting with IT and Business Units on complex and highly visible technology initiatives across the enterprise. This includes the review and evaluation of IT technical proposals, and the identification and communication of security controls necessary to ensure enterprise solutions are secure and compliant with Security Policies & Standards as well as regulatory requirements while enabling business.

The Information Security Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide Advisement & Consulting services to non-Security groups across the enterprise; review and assess solution proposals, identify and communicate necessary security controls to ensure the enterprise data, processes and brand are secure while enabling our Business; identify alternative solutions and mitigating controls when necessary
Serve as a security SME for complex and high visibility technology initiatives
Develop security policies & standards, based on sound enterprise architecture practices
Create security reference architectures
Liaise with other security architects and security practitioners to share best practices and insights
Mentor and educate less experiences staff
Maintain current technical security knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and performing research

Position Requirements:

The Information Security Architect should have 7+ years direct experience with the following:

Experience in a consultancy role providing technical security guidance and direction to non-security teams.
Experience using architecture methodologies such as SABSA, Zachman and/or TOGAF
Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure: Applications, Databases, Operating systems - Windows, Unix and Linux, Hypervisors, IP networks - WAN and LAN, Storage networks - Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NAS, Backup networks and media
Direct experience designing IAM technologies and services:
Active Directory
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Amazon Web Service (AWS) IAM

Strong working knowledge of IT service management
Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) required
Experience in using container architecture such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Cloud security certifications required
Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, or other industry recognized Security certifications required
Experience with securing PHI, PCI and PII data in transit - internal and external, and at rest
Experience with FISMA, PCI and Hi-Trust controls a plus

Additional Requirements:

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills; able to communicate at all levels from staff to C-suite
Able to influence others to achieve desired result
Proven skills in solving complex technical problems with cross functional teams
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education: Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or a related field
