The Perduco Group, a LinQuest company, is seeking a Systems Modeling Engineer to join our team in Beavercreek, OH, or remote.
The Systems Modeling Engineer will provide confident, cutting-edge systems engineering expertise for a fast-paced, high visibility project to develop an Air Force wide Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Ecosystem (System Model) during Capability Development (CD). CD includes the early stages of the acquisition life cycle that can involve early conceptual design/systems development, Science and Technology investment/investigation/development, and/or force structuring.
The Systems Modeling Engineer will help the Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation office build a robust CD MS&A Ecosystem with capability across multiple domains leveraging evaluation, analysis, and design experience. This individual will use descriptive systems modeling (SysML or UML) expertise to build architectures/models, execute simulations, and conduct analysis to help provide the best advice and solutions for a successful Ecosystem.
Leverages descriptive systems modeling (SysML or UML) expertise to help provide the best advice and solutions for a successful System Model.
Supports the development and execution of descriptive systems modeling use-cases to demonstrate feasibility of MS&A System Model and to further improve key aspects that provide maximum utility to the CD community.
Recommends multiple paths to develop the right tools, data, people, processes, partnerships, and infrastructure to build a successful MS&A System Model.
Leverages systems engineering and descriptive systems modeling experience to provide robust solutions for systems development across large organizations.
Provides insights to build cohesive strategies that help understand current state, forms desired future state, and builds competent and adaptive approach to reach the desired future state.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in any Engineering discipline
Experience with SysML or UML
Hands-on experience creating/building descriptive system architectures/models
Hands-on capability using SysML or UML for system model development
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
Ability to take direction on tasks and work independently, with the ability to analyze and solve complex and ill-defined problems
Applicants must be able to quickly learn new software applications across a wide spectrum of disciplines
Familiarity with MATLAB or equivalent
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Well-practiced capability using SysML or UML for systems development and experience using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo, SparxEA, Rhapsody, etc.
Great familiarity with digital engineering initiatives.
Familiarity with MBSE integration with MS&A toolsets like MATLAB/Simulink
Capability to execute conceptual design and/or early operational capability exploration to include creating and conducting engineering-level, engagement-level, mission-level, campaign level, and enterprise level modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Involvement with Digital Engineering transformation initiatives.
3 years or more experience with SysML or UML.
Direct experience with MBSE integration with MS&A toolsets.
Experience executing conceptual design to include creating and conducting engineering-level, engagement-level, mission-level, campaign level, and enterprise level modeling, simulation, and analysis.
