Job Description

Staffmark in Miamisburg, OH is hiring Warehouse / Forklift Operators in the Moraine, OH area. Starting pay is based on experience. Desired Job Qualifications:

    Previous die setting, metal stamping and forming, press operations or similar experience

    Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Primary Responsibilities:

    Safely operate all presses and assembly equipment

    Obey safety procedures and work in a safe manner

    Assemble and fabricate parts to meet customer requirements

    Clean parts. (Brush off parts and perform minor cleaning, clean out punches and shake out slugs on certain parts, and clean gaskets to meet customer specs).

    Perform in-process quality checks and reject that do not meet specifications, gauging parts as necessary
    Set dies in scheduled time frame to meet customer requirements.
    Monitor lube to prevent problems and observe and report problem areas in dies to appropriate tooling personnel.
    Ability to set up, including loading of coil, leveler adjustment, and die alignment
    Verify material supplied for production meets specifications stipulated on work order or other documents
    Be able to align and secure top and bottom die sections, ensure the proper operation of safety operating devices and improvise dies for special operations
    Be responsible for quality parts, dimensional plus visual.
    Communicate with shift supervisor, tooling, quality engineers and others concerning production problems, quality and related information as needed.

    Prepare boxes, labels, tags, tickets, etc. and stack, bag or box parts

    Complete production paperwork by recording production quantities, scrap, etc. and collect appropriate data per work instructions or task

    Be a team player and assist co-workers as needed

    Maintain a clean work area

    Lift and load materials using a hoist, fork lift, or other material handling equipment

    Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties Include:

    Preparation and operation of production equipment including presses, shears, mills, drill and other equipment.
    Confirms the use of proper materials to print job specifications.
    Visually inspects each press run for quality.
    Perform quality checks and corresponding documentation


    Minimum 2 years of Machine Operator experience
    Mechanical aptitude, above average dexterity
    Tow motor/lift truck experience required
    Basic math — percentages, decimals (thousandths), addition, subtraction
    Knowledge of press, dies, and related set up operations
    Blueprint reading helpful
    Experience with using calipers, micrometers and other gauges
    High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Working Conditions:

    Be able to lift 50 pounds on a non-repetitive basis and maneuver loads of 75lbs and more.
    Have the physical strength to slide dies across the bolster plates
    Exposure to lubes, oil and grease, noise and vibration
    Weekly and weekend overtime required
    Accountability for quality/productivity and safety goals
    Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for periods of time in excess of one (3) hours
    Requires some sort of repetitive turning and/or lifting motion to be performed
    Perform position requirements while wearing eye, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required

Job Summary

Responsible for the operation of a production work cell. This includes die setting, safety, quality, productivity.
