Position Responsibilities:

This position will contribute to the day-to-day activities and special projects of the Sales and Use Tax Group within the Corporate Tax Department. The individual will have the opportunity to learn how paint is made, the types of products sold in retail outlets, and the nature of customers' businesses.

Purpose of Internship/Co-op Program: To provide professional development/experience to individuals within their field of study by exposure to the business environment of a large corporation.

Essential Duties include:

*         Sales tax license/permit compliance

*         Maintaining permit documentation (Excel spreadsheets and permit images)

*         Manage mail by answering notices or forwarding correspondence to others for follow-up

*         Product taxability conversion table maintenance

*         Basic tax law research

*         Assistance with special projects

Basic Qualifications:

Education

Required:

*         Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Experience

Required:

*         Available to work a minimum of 20 hours/week throughout the school year with flexibility for exams and school projects

*         Good written and verbal communication

*         Organized

*         Detail- and deadline-oriented

*         Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word products
