The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Lead Architect is responsible for leading the design and deployment of automated solutions for business process using Automation Anywhere Platform. This role will be responsible for strategic and tactical advice and specification review of the domain architecture and data plans including business process, data and application. The incumbent understands manual business process and proactively seeks opportunities to automate business process, application, information, and technology architectures; and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goal.
This position is part of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) program within the Digital Workplace team in Corporate IT at Sherwin Williams. The ultimate goal of this team, and this position, is to provide capabilities for our employees worldwide to help improve their productivity and engagement, by making it easier for them to automate and improve their business process.
Strategy & Planning
*Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for strategic architecture plans, system design, and implementation standards for the domain.
*Lead efforts to ensure platform IT capabilities are operating efficiently, accurately, and with high quality.
*Develop standards and guidelines to guide domain technology strategy.
*Identify and evaluate industry trends in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies, to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Research tools to identify those that can best help serve the needs of clients.
*Participate as a member of one or more Architectural Review Boards that ensures architecture quality and compliance.
*Apply EA guidelines, principles and Enterprise Standards to support the target state architecture and Sherwin Williams technology vision.
*Collaborate and gains consensus across platforms to ensure best practices, enterprise standards, best of breed, quality, and solving of complex problems.
*Ensure that applications/domain meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
*Actively engage business to understand vision and ensure business needs are met.
*Ensure efficient use of application/domain systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies. And develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
*Provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.
*Provide governance and stewardship for future information technology planning within the domain.
*Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates.
*Strives to keep knowledge and expertise current with new releases, technology advances and analyzes potential opportunities and risks in adopting upcoming versions of application technology.
*Challenge current state and influence strategic change.
Acquisition & Deployment
*Gather requirements, analyzes, creates design documents, and performs impact analysis for business process changes.
*Prepare ROI analysis and budget proposals to initiate the acquisition of business process.
*Plan and organize tasks, reports progress, manages and coordinates with business users for implementations.
*Develop processes, guidelines and framework for rapid development and deployment of services.
*Mitigate significant risks associated with large projects, which require new processes and/or involve significant changes to existing processes.
*Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
*Assist in developing project plans, track project deliverables and meet dedicated timelines.
*Ability to collaborate with business and technical resources to understand and develop solutions that meet business requirements, translating strategy and objectives when necessary
*Perform solution architecture for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and related domains.
*Develop solutions to leverage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) functionality and suggest process improvements.
*Perform Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Domain Assets management and its life cycle.
*Provide specific guidelines for solution and generate documentation on Domain patterns, standards and building blocks.
*Provide operational guidelines to ensure projects are completed within the appropriate framework.
*Provide regular, clear, and consistent communication (written and oral) on the status of projects, issues, and deliverables to representatives from the customer/vendor.
*Develop and maintain understanding of key processes, schedules, cycles, profiles, etc. for the technical systems in use by business.
*Work with vendor technical support to facilitate analysis of and resolution to technical issues.
*Plan & lead testing efforts for a deployment, including creating test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs functional & technical testing.
*Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.
*Lead efforts to develop and maintain the architectural assets for the domain.
*Support domain asset lifecycle management
*Assist with various projects as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
*Maintain current knowledge of the technology workspace in terms of current state, future possibilities, forthcoming technologies, and their relevance and impact.
*Drive Robotic Process Automation (RPA) domain development with technology design considerations.
*Mentor other team members as needed.

Formal Education & Certification
*Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in IT related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
*10+ years of IT experience.
*5+ years of development experience on distributed platforms.
*3+ years of experience in Solution Architecture.
*2+ years of experience in leading architecture and design for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementations highly preferred.
*2+ years of development experience using Automation Anywhere highly preferred.
*Experience with .NET 3.5 or higher Framework preferred.
*Knowledge or working experience with Oracle ERP/Java/.NET Application preferred.
*Good knowledge of various Data Structures and Optimization techniques.
*Excellent written and oral communications skills.
