Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Support the events planning in the Logistics Transportation area in accordance with the Statement of Work for WBS 1.0 and support for Program Management Office for WBS 8.0.
Provide project planning assessment and recommendations for all Logistics transportation needs for special events.
Provides feedback and updates to customers on the status of their requirements.
Coordinate planning and execution of events with the customer and various organizations across the Center.
Comply with all Alcyon Technical Services (ATS) Joint Venture, LLC Policies, Procedures, and Directives in the performance of duties under the TIALS 2 Contract.
Comply with the requirements of the TIALS 2 Safety Plan.
Comply with the requirements of the TIALS 2 Quality Plan.
Comply with the requirements of the TIALS 2 Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) Avoidance Plan.
Follow the requirements of the TIALS 2 Procurement Manual.
Comply with the requirements of the NASA GRC Safety Manual.
Comply with the requirements of the NASA GRC Environmental Management System.
Participate in the Logistics Safety Review Board, as required.
Align resources with customer demands to ensure requests are completed according to schedule.
Meet all applicable performance standard requirements.
Aggressively support organizational development by participating in process improvement by analyzing and improving existing business processes.
Communicate all work activities and issues to the Logistics Manager.
Required Education and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience, including project/event planning.
Plan and execute Logistics special events, from initiating planning to completion.
Provides Project planning, coordination, and support.
Proactively handle any issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems for each event.
Proposes new ideas to improve provided services and quality for future events.
Specify staff requirements and coordinate their tasks and schedules when supporting events
Demonstrates ability, understanding, and knowledge of events related processes.
Develop project plans for scope, resource availability, risks, costs, and timelines.
In depth market analysis to obtain competition for the best costs for products and services for everyday operations and events, this includes training, supplies, busses, tents and more.
Creation of purchase requests for various supplies and services, including special events.
Submittal of internal work orders for signs, posters and other items needed for special events.
Compilation of a consolidated cost estimate for submittal to the LTID Special Events Coordinator.
Utilization of the Logistics Special Event training to assist in creating staff training in support of events, and updates to training as needed.
