The E-Commerce OMS Manager is responsible for planning, developing and supporting IT strategy for the order management platform in the E-business Center of Excellence.  Responsible for supporting the flow of orders from the web and mobile E-Commerce channels to the retail store systems.  Communicates effectively, while working closely with other groups to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals.  Responsibility includes management of additional staff and budgets.

Essential Functions

Strategy & Planning
*Manage the shared operational capabilities that support omni-channel E-Commerce orders, including order management, inventory management, and call center.
*Plan and coordinate systems upgrades that impact the platforms, including database, and application and web servers.
*Manage the team efforts in the planning, design, development and effectuation of improvements with focus on simplification and optimization of processes.
*Create and implement the strategic roadmap for Omnichannel order management capabilities.
*Determine staffing and skills requirements.
*Drive change.

Acquisition & Deployment
*Oversee the daily management of operational, maintenance, and project work for the development team.
*Oversee the management of project, resource, and budget plans.
*Lead the resolution of escalated project risks and issues.
*Partner with Center of Excellence leadership to collaborate on program governance, prioritization, and planning activities as needed.
*Manage external vendors and track contractor budgets
*Request and allocate resources based on project sizing and budgets.
*Collaborate within IT and business owners to ensure timely, quality, and on budget delivery of solutions as well as strategic alignment as necessary.
*Provide necessary resources to development team to maximize productivity.
*Work with support teams to resolve production issues and plan new development efforts.
*Develop client relationships through communication and engagement on projects.
*Develop and manage the departmental budget and ensuring various business commitments are met.

Operational Management
*Assign or develop and implement project plans to successfully meet objectives.
*Lead the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables for more complex initiatives.
*Assign the development of project plans and schedule to set achievable expectations with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
*Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the discovery and investigation of new projects and initiatives.
*Mentor and coach team members, including professional apprentices.
*Develop documentation, white papers and presentations to all levels of management and technical staff.
*Provide daily management and leadership to the development team.
*Work closely with Vendor Management; evaluate 3rd party vendor suppliers of technical resources; recruit consulting resources to meet the demands of the organization.
*Conduct activities like staffing, performance and resource management, and strategic direction of the team.
*Create and maintain development plans for each team member, including training, skills assessment, career planning, and goal planning.
*Set employee objectives, monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback and mentoring.
*Manage personal growth objectives for the team.

Incidental Functions
*Lead departmental or divisional meetings as requested.
*Prepare and lead presentations as requested.

*Coordinate various operational and administrative tasks as necessary.
*Work with a cross-functional team on special projects expanding outside of our normal scope of work.
*On-boarding and off-boarding contractors and other temporary staff as needed.
*Develop prototypes or small application projects as required to meet business demands.
*Contribute to various process improvement initiatives as requested.
*Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.

*Travel up to 20% may be required.
*Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday may be required.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
*Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience
*12+ years IT experience.
*6+ years management and/or supervisory experience or team responsibility in a dynamic/complex environment.
*6+ years hands-on experience with the entire software development lifecycle i.e. requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment and post production support.
*Experience managing customizations and enhancements to complex enterprise software packages and/or Software as a Service cloud solutions.
*Excellent understanding of E-Commerce concepts such as order fulfillment, inventory reservation, 3rd party procurement systems, order status updates, payment processing and pricing.

Preferred Qualifications
*Experience working with a 24/7 operational support team for a business-critical, customer-facing platform
*Experience working with data and systems that require regulatory compliance such as PCI, PII and/or GDPR
*Experience working with an enterprise order management system such as IBM Sterling, Oracle, Manhattan Associates or similar
