Reporting to the Director of Global Tax, the Transfer Pricing Manager is a key role responsible for holistically managing transfer pricing matters and operational business model relating to strategic and operational transactions.
Manage all aspects of the company's transfer pricing compliance obligations including country-by-country report, masterfile, local files, IRC Section 482 and OECD-compliant documentation and all related notifications globally with the assistance of a Big Four public accounting firm
Support Avient's intercompany transfer pricing policies, including intercompany tangible pricing software, R&D reimbursement, royalties, HQ and regional management services, financing, secondments, and cost-sharing agreements
Manage or assist with audit defense related to transfer pricing
Manage or assist with internal valuations and review of third-party valuations
Complete pre-acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration for transfer pricing and operational business models
Assist with legal entity rationalization and operating model simplification
Draft and maintain step plans and associated documentation including the preparation of transfer pricing analysis and auditing associated journal entries and P&L line items to ensure they reflect the intended transaction
Manage external advisors and engagements related to the above
Independently gather relevant data from HFM and SAP and design and maintain complex Excel-based models
Provide tax support to Avient finance and business leaders globally and work with the business and corporate departments to make decisions and drive value for the Company

Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Economics, Advanced degree in related field
5+ years of Transfer Pricing experience at a public multinational or in consulting for same
Knowledge and experience in applying US and OECD transfer pricing laws and regulations
General understanding of US international tax law related to US multinationals making outbound investments
Advanced analytical and IT systems skills, experience with SAP and HFM a plus
Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
Critical thinking and the ability to "own" responsibilities in a fast-paced environment focused on results
Team player with proven ability to lead and manage projects
Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, informal, often ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment
