About the role

The role requires executive leadership and seasoned program management and strategic competencies. This position will manage and lead cross-functional teams and executives in delivery of the largest and most complex strategic programs (comprised of multiple projects and workstreams) in the company's project portfolio, to include projects such as: Merger/Acquisition integrations, business model changes, major system and infrastructure implementations and integrations, complex process re-engineering, complicated client conversions and implementations, and new product, platform or distribution implementations

The role will significantly communicate with senior executive (C-level and 1-downs common) on a regular basis, and must possess strong facilitation, communication, influence negotiation skills in order to drive the company to deliver transformational change initiatives.

The role incorporates superior relationship management, team building, executive interface, and leadership competencies, working in concert across cross-functional teams including business unit, executive management, finance, sales, marketing, product management, technology, operations, training, human resources, communications, legal/compliance, and risk management. The primary goal of this Project leader is to ensure that resources are fully optimized and aligned to meet Company strategic objectives, and to drive a vision and lead team members towards the accomplishment of project goals.

What you will be doing

Define, organize and lead complex enterprise strategic programs under which multiple projects are managed
Proven experience in managing complex projects across various project management methodologies (SDLC Waterfall, SDLC Agile, Initiate-Plan-Execute-Control-Conclude, New Product Development, and DMAIC/Process Improvement)
Able to successfully manage multiple complex projects and work efforts simultaneously while delivering high quality work product throughout the life cycle of each project
Define, establish & communicate a detailed project plan together with agreed timelines, identifying critical milestones, interdependencies and risks
Act as agent of change across the company to drive key change initiatives across the business to improve processes
Lead cross-functional project teams, obtaining resources and removing barriers as needed to deliver the project's goals
Communicate project status across all levels of the organization, including Executive stakeholders and clients
Understand and effectively leverage best practice change management methods, tools and approaches to create an effective change plan to manage key change risks associated with deploying projects and deriving a return on investment
Proactively identify and manage specific issues, risks, and conflicts and work with all stakeholders, for proper action and intervention
Plan and conduct readiness assessment and tollgate reviews
Advise and work with program leaders and champions (executive management) to define and create success and adoption measures - metrics that are realistic, achievable and implementable.
Partner with key stakeholders to manage their expectations, and assume ownership for the identification, analysis, solution design and implementation of key process improvements and project implementations
Partner with Finance and Business sponsors to develop and track business case and project/program financial performance
Evaluate, measure and track the effectiveness of improvements
Work together with business leaders and process owners to develop capabilities and competencies in process improvement, as required, to delivered upon stated project goals
Partner with the Business/functional teams to ensure that the definition, documentation, measurement, maintenance and ownership of key business processes are clearly defined

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Role will include supervision and direction of non-direct reports who contribute efforts to the Project, including other Project Managers at a manager level or higher, client representatives, SMEs across the organization, executives, technical professionals, consultants, and/or resources assisting with projects or processes.

Formal Project Management Qualification or equivalent experience (PMI or equivalent proven experience preferred)
Process improvement experience and/or qualifications (Lean & Six Sigma, for example); Blackbelt or equivalent proven experience a plus

Professional Work Experience & Leadership

Minimum of 10+ years Project Management/Process Improvement within fast-paced environment
Financial/business modeling and analysis skills are critical
Highly experienced using MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and other standard applications
Proven experience in change management leading large, complex, transformational projects under challenging timelines
Substantial experience and/or certification in Six Sigma, business process or system re- engineering or related fields
Proven track record of delivering measurable benefits to an organization, successfully executing to milestones and commitments

Minimum Skills & Leadership Abilities

Strategic competencies, ability to drive complex project roadmaps with multiple concurrent projects and workstreams and manage executive contributors and stakeholders successfully.
Superior collaboration and communication skills: team building, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, risk management, product management, negotiation & decision making
Strategic and end-to-end process thinker, with proven experience in leading transformational change programs
Excellent service philosophy and understanding the challenges in providing superior customer experience at a global level while controlling costs in growth environment

Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and team leadership at senior Executive level
