Account Manager

The Pre-Payment Account Manager serves as the primary relationship owner and contact for an assigned group of customer accounts and is responsible for retention and growth. The Account Manager identifies needs and consults on best practices for solutions to ensure customers derive maximum value from our products and services. Also responsible for facilitating and conducting effective customer meetings with stakeholders at all organization levels, including C-Suite, identifying new business and upsell opportunities within existing customers, partnering with the Sales team to aid in increasing revenue, and effectively managing customer activities to ensure renewal and retention.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers, stakeholders, and executive sponsors; provide knowledge and insight of industry trends, opportunities and solutions that will support customer's business needs and goals
Serve as customer operational expert for all aspects of top tier assigned customers for both existing and potential areas of partnership
Develop and execute customer-specific account plans, outlining revenue retention and growth strategies, including identification of business and upsell opportunities
Create and deliver Business Reviews with all assigned customers per corporate guidelines
Manage revenue forecast and track key customer metrics
Coordinate operational and strategic activities internally to improve customer experience and strengthen corporate processes across Onboarding, Support, Sales, Customer Experience, Business Intelligence, Product, IT, Customer Communications, Billing and Finance
Serve as escalation point for operational disruption across all defined areas of partnership
Cultivate references at each customer within assigned portfolio as applicable
Partner with internal cross-functional teams to identify and deliver processes, workflows and solutions on time, with functionality that meets or exceeds customer goals
Manage customer activity with CRM tools for maximum accuracy, efficiency and visibility with carefully executed follow-up to closure on open customer issues

What are the requirements needed for this position?

3 or more years of experience in account management or a related customer-facing role utilizing a consultative approach to managing complex customer relationships
Working knowledge and experience with contracts and contract negotiations
Bachelor's degree or related and equivalent experience

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Experience with payment integrity programs and/or background in healthcare industry, specifically in the health plan or provider sector
Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills including ability to effectively engage, influence, work collaboratively and gain trust with all levels of internal and external organizations
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly organized and capable of driving multiple projects to completion simultaneously including balancing customer deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain motivated
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Negotiation skills and financial acumen
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video conferencing, with Salesforce and Net Promoter Score experience preferred

Willing to travel 10-20% of the time
