Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Research & Development Engineer/Scientist located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, as an integral member of a government-contractor team. The engineer/scientist’s primary function will be providing mission-critical support to the warfighter in multi-domain frameworks at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. You will work with an energetic team whose day-to-day mission involves breaking down the Air Force’s toughest challenges and communicating the essential results of that work to their leadership. This is an opportunity to hone your technical abilities on significant and current engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.
Support our various efforts relating to technical engineering analysis in the areas of air/satellite/missile systems, signatures, employment and operations, mission control, vehicles and facilities.
Perform a variety of classified analyses of future weapon and platform concepts for the IC.
Typical tasks may include utilizing subject matter expertise to develop system designs and functional modeling, signature reduction technique development, analysis, payload modeling, Electronic Warfare analysis, or detailed analysis of Command and Control capabilities.
Develop scenarios to test new concepts in simulation environments.
Identify ongoing and future technology trends relevant to the field of adversarial examples
Previous Intelligence Center (IC) experience is desired
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
Ability to work in a team environment
Active security clearance TS/SCI
Experience with coding in one or more of the following: MATLAB, C++, Python, Java or Simulink
Experience related to air, ballistic missile, space systems, sensors, fusion, C2, air defense, communication devices, radars, electronic warfare, cyber, or other related areas
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
