Technical Project Manager - Fire & Security Lead System Specialist   (WD30100836266)

What you will do

Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete Security & Fire projects at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village in a safe and cost effective manner. Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects including: costs, project billings, and collections. Maintains both customer satisfaction and profitable and accurate project financial results. Actively pursues selling change orders. Coordinates communication with the customer during all phases of the project. Ensures proper execution of warranty. Provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary. Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Adheres and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.

How you will do it

 Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
 Program and assist with troubleshooting when necessary.
 Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
 Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
 Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
 Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
 Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
 Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
 Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
 Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
 Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
 Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
 Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
 Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
 Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

 

Qualifications

What we look for

Required

Minimum of five years of field experience or 8 years of equivalent related field experience in the commercial fire & security industry. Must have relevant technical hands on experience in systems design and commissioning of multiple fire & security systems. Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience. Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently. Strong personal computer skills.

Preferred

Knowledge of project management, accounting, costing principals and contracting preferred.
