Job Description

Job Summary:

Operate and maintain plastic thermoforming machines, which includes starting the machine, settings adjustments, mold change, calibration and minor machine and tools repair to optimize production efficiency and product quality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Startup of thermoforming machines and adjust setting to required product on production order
  • Ensure uninterrupted running of the machine at the required output
  • Resolve technical malfunctions
  • Ensure all resources are available for the uninterrupted and efficient running of the machines, including raw material, sheet and finished goods are moved in and out of the production area timely and correctly
  • Report production, quality, safety details and technical malfunctions in log
  • Calculate production parameters
  • Ensure proper product quality based on machine and mold conditions
  • Clean the maintenance work environment and maintain 5S and lean setup
  • Compliance to BRC - IOP regulation + hygiene instructions
  • Ensure safe operation of the thermoforming area and people working around it
  • Report unsafe situations immediately
  • Perform any related production task requested by the Direct Line Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Any relevant education or experience will be a plus
  • Experience with the same type of equipment, or a solid experience in a similar field
  • Basic computer skills sufficient for the job and knowledge of the machines operating software
  • Speak and understand English with smooth and clear communication, including electronic


Job Dimensions
 

  • Full time, contract or temp-to-hire. Flexibility in operating in different shifts is a plus
  • Production environment – multiple shifts, work clothing compulsory in accordance with BRC regulations, wearing a hair net is mandatory in accordance with hygiene instructions
