the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the Senior System Administrator
will provide overview and direction for 3rd party support of
Networking and Telecom. Also provide maintenance
and enhancement of the Microsoft server and networking environment, including
but not limited to Active Directory, MS servers, SAN, Networking, VMware, Xen and Citrix environment.

This position will be located in either the Green Bay, WI or Batavia, OHCorporate office

Primary Processes and Responsibilities

Establish systems specifications by conferring with users and other IT staff; analyzing workflow, access, information, capacity, and security requirements.

Proactively identify infrastructure issues and suggest recommendations for improvement. Act as an IT technical resource for technology project implementation. Recommend and implement appropriate hardware and software solutions under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure.

Maintains the Organization's hardware and software to the required standards for servers and desktop

Ensures all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, procedures and policies.

Provide second level user support as it relates to all IT functions, including hardware and software support.
Perform complex problem determination, situation analysis, and problem resolution for all servers, and hardware issues.

Provide day-to-day monitoring, management, tuning, user administration and backups of all server system components (Servers and Storage). Responsible for the collection and analysis of server data to facilitate performance, capacity planning, model growth and maintain overall server environment health.

Responsible for installing, upgrading, patching all server components - both hardware and software.

Maintain appropriate vendor support relationships.

Manage appropriate expenses to maintain IT spending at budgeted levels. Recommend cost effective hardware and software solutions. Seek appropriate approval for spending requests above specified guidelines.

Responsible for development, management, and control of system and security standards across the organization.

Suggest, establish, implement and maintain appropriate IT policy, process and procedures.

Computer Skills

Advanced technical ability to manage and support operating systems, applications, and
network software.

Ability to select, install, maintain and upgrade all hardware.

Knowledge of IT Support and Help Desk processes.

Knowledge of Computer HW, SW and Networking technologies in a Microsoft Desktop

Analyze requirements and recommend appropriate network configurations to meet company
needs and standards.

Installation, configuration, and support of network infrastructure and services - including
but not limited to - switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network security Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify root cause and other operational problems

Works with telecommunications vendors to integrate voice, data and video applications
on the local and wide area networks

Performs telephone support, administration, and maintenance as required

Contract management responsibilities, assists in requests for proposals, vendor
selection, and contract monitoring

Creation and updating of network diagrams and other documentation

Monitor network performance

Language Ability

Ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to "non-technical" users.

Ability to present ideas clearly to management in order to gain support and buy-in.

Understand technical issues and terminology.
