Description
Summary:

Thisposition is responsible for politely greeting and screening all visitors,patients, and employees in accordance with UH guidelines before entrance to allUH Hospital and Health Center locations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

Essential dutiesof the position:

Essentialduties include, but not limited to:

-Politely and promptly meets and greets visitors, employees and patients in awelcoming manner

-Accurately performs temperatures and asking screening questions for allvisitors, employees and patients upon entrance to the facility.

-Applies the screening methodology to the visitor, employee or patient based onresults of temperature and screening questions.

-Wears appropriate PPE at all times.

-Ensure masking of all employees, guests, and patients.

-Monitoring and adhering to UH visitation guidelines.

-Listens courteously and responds to patient/visitor questions, concerns, and/orrefers to the appropriate individual.

-Anticipates patient, family and visitor needs and provides assistance.

-Actively seeks to resolve conflicts or misunderstandings promptly, in apositive manner.

-Provides safe efficient transport of patients, equipment, and miscellaneoussupplies.

-Performs transport duties as needed, assist in training new hire training.

-Communicates with other departments to assess their transport needs.

-Must be orientated to physical layout of hospital and locations of patienttesting areas.

-Performs data entry and receives dispatch information via Tele-Tracking System.
 

Qualifications

Special Skills& Equipment Knowledge:

-Excellent communication abilities

-Knowledge and handling of transport equipment (wheelchairs, carts, oxygen)

-Knowledge of screening protocols and University Hospitals (COVID 19) guidelines
 

Required Credentials,License, and / or Certifications:

-Basic Life Support certification, issued by the American Heart Association,must be obtained during UH Orientation.

-Must pass Fit Testing for N95 mask.
 
Education:

HighSchool Diploma or GED is required.
 

MiscellaneousInformation:

Hoursare 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Travel to other locations is only needed foroccasional coverage.
