About the Job


The primary purpose of the Group Sales Representative is to acquire new business for AultCare in the core service area and beyond.  The Group Sales Representative will accomplish this goal by identifying needs of employers and creating value proposition that would meet those needs while often working in conjunction with a broker(s).


Meet or exceed personal and department sales goal through sales of group health plans

Ensure all assigned brokers know the sales initiatives and can represent AultCare effectively to the best of their ability to prospective clients.
Provide training to brokers and their support staff on completion of AultCare sales and processes.
Provide training to brokers and their support staff on our underwriting procedures.
Identify needs of assigned brokers to assist them in creating value of prospective clients.
Ensure complete timely prospective requests for proposal (RFP) from brokers to finalize quoting process.
Research and analysis of each potential sale using proven analysis and correspondence in order to properly determine the unique opportunity the potential client has to engage with AultCare.
Timely and complete communication with prospects and brokers.
Oversee new enrollments and implementation process of new group sales.
Report monthly activity of brokers visited and results of visits.
Keep brokers informed of new developments and sales initiatives to ensure brokers can represent AultCare to be best of their ability. 
Proper completion of structured sales proposals, using practical application to provide competitive value to the broker who is engaging with AultCare. 
Create ideas and value for the broker to relay to the company who is entertaining a relationship with AultCare. 
Understand and be able to communicate current industry information relevant to brokers’ cases and production.
Be prepared and on time for all meetings. 
Keep prospects and their brokers informed of changes at AultCare and of other significant information about the industry.
Maintain high standards of knowledge of the industry by taking continuing education courses, reading about changes in the industry and exhibiting knowledge of the health care industry to prospects and their brokers.
Belong to, and regularly attend, at least two organizations in the 5 county area market that will provide positive community support and exposure for AultCare. These organizations should be ones that no other AultCare representative attends so that we have the most coverage in our communities

Process Improvement: Continuously reviews, recommends and implements improvement steps, as needed or directed.
Seeks supervisory guidance/approval as appropriate.
Portrays professional image: follows dress code, communicates with internal and external customers in a professional manner, including appropriate verbal and written grammar.
Promotes and demonstrates professional standards to enhance the development of the department.
Practices ethical conduct.
Meets acceptable attendance and punctuality expectations (excluding FMLA)

Education:  Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:  Minimum one year sales experience, preferably in health insurance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Office environment with moderate noise level.
Frequent sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, and long periods working at a computer.
Occasionally walking, standing, twisting/turning and reaching upward or forward during work day.
