The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a self-motivated individual to assist in research in self-management and symptom science in cancer and stem cell transplant. The main job responsibilities will be to recruit, enroll, conduct study visits, and manage data collection for human subject research participants. Part of the responsibility is to assist with the operations of the laboratory.
Assist in planning and coordinating of projects. Attend lab meetings.
Assist in coordinating lab and field work
Assist with preparation of Institutional Review Board protocol submissions, regulatory binders, biosafety compliance, and associated documentation
Recruit study participants, schedule and conduct study visits
Assist with data collection and data entry into electronic databases
Order and organize laboratory supplies and records
Assist with processing and storing biological samples using approved protocols.
Assist with proposal, report and manuscript preparation
Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a profession/field or equivalent level of knowledge.
Additional Qualifications Considered: Bachelor degree, (MS/MPH degree is preferred). Research at various institutions in the city that will require personal transportation to conduct study visits and data collection. Prior experience with human subject research, particularly research with biological sample collection, are advantageous. Opportunity for independent research is also available depending on experience and interest.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
