Overview of Position

Seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Data Solutions engineering team and participate in the design and development of our platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about building and maintaining a reliable platform and driven to help deliver systems that solve real-world problems. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in AWS ecosystem. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Modifies, implements, tests, and supports all product related technology and functionality, including software infrastructure in an AWS hosted environment
CI/CD release management processes and source control/pipeline systems
AWS Cloud DevOps, Monitoring and Security
Write complex and efficient pipelines to transform raw data sources into easily accessible models by coding across several languages such as Python, Scala, Python, Java and SQL
Build, manage, and deploy distributed systems in the AWS ecosystem - AWS S3, EC2, Step Functions, EMR, SNS, Lambda, Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB, Athena, Glue, SageMaker
Communicates proactively and effectively with team members and other project stakeholders in a highly Agile environment
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals according to timelines and budgets agreed upon with business stakeholders
Contributing to solutions on complex projects

What are the requirements needed for this position?

6+ years of enterprise application development experience with Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure compute, networking, storage and other AWS cloud services.
Proven experience with AWS services such as Data Pipeline, Step Functions, Batch, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, EMR, SNS, IAM, ELB, EC2, S3, Redshift, Glue.
Proficient in shell and python scripting preferred.
Strong knowledge of SQL, NOSQL, columnar Databases such as AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift etc
Knowledge and previous hands-on experience with any relational database as well as SQL language.
Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
Knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps, and software development lifecycle.
