Consult, cultivate and deliver corporate partner outcomes in the Cincinnati Innovation District empowered by powerful partner-to-partner and partner-to-university connections. Function to understand and solve partner needs through wayfinding within the university and with other partners.
Hire, develop, and lead a team that deeply understands universities, cultivates partner's strategic objectives and needs, then curates and activates partner connections within the Cincinnati Innovation District, ultimately creating powerful outcomes that advance both the partners' business objectives and the growth of the Cincinnati Innovation District.
Strategically build and manage relationships at multiple leadership levels with the partners and within the university. Cultivate partner relationships both physically and virtually.
Identify in advance and quickly resolve obstacles and friction that may impede partner objectives, creating consistent and scalable processes for partner engagement in the Cincinnati Innovation District.
Maintain a high-level knowledge of Cincinnati Innovation District objectives, strategies, projects, and activities.
Capture key data to manage the business, and capture partner voices that tell a story of transformational outcomes.
Lead preparation for major events and meetings such that flawless execution is always the outcome.
Engage with and enhance the ability of marketing and partner recruiting teams to attract new partners to the Cincinnati Innovation District.
Engage as a senior member of the Office of Innovation leadership team.
Develop, manage, and achieve annual, quarterly, and project-based goals.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Seven (7) years of relevant experience. Experience with higher education or well-versed in understanding the university model.
Senior-level/executive relationship builder/influencer with a proven track record of effectively managing and executing on strategies to deliver superior results in both the short and long term.
Strong client delivery focus.
Additional qualifications considered:
Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
As a UC employee, and an employee of an Ohio public institution, if hired you will not contribute to the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare. Instead, UC employees have the option to contribute to a state retirement plan (OPERS, STRS) or an alternative retirement plan (ARP).
