General Summary:  The Product Development Technician reports directly to the Director of Product Solutions. This position is part of the product development team and supports testing and documentation processes in the design of new products,such as,RF power amplifiers, upconverters, downconverters,and low noise amplifiers. Individuals in this position test and characterize electronic circuits and systems through use of electronic equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzer, signal generators,power meters, custom test equipment, etc.

Essential Functions

Interpret and maintain test and design documents to support the development of new products.
Work within the product development team and be accountable to deliver tasks with efficiency, quality,and within schedule.
Provide excellent communications, both written and verbal, throughout all levels of the organization.
Assist in the research and development, quality control, and design in order to meet product requirements.
Follow and recommend new or more efficient manufacturing and testing processes.
Setup and operate test equipment to conduct experiments, collect data, and calculate results.
Test, debug, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies to the component-level.
Assist in improving daily processes to ensure customer requirements are met.
Be flexible and adaptable in order to meet the tactical and strategic objectives of NuWaves.
Maintain required industry certifications.
Operate within an AS9100 quality management system.
Any other duties as assigned.

Competencies

At least 1 year of Printed Circuit Board (PCB)assembly and/or at least 1 year of soldering experience required.
At least 1 year of experience with RF test equipment including,but not limited to, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meter, signal generator, etc.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD-001 certification is preferred but not required.
Experience with Aerospace and Defense electronics is preferred but not required.

Typical Education and Experience:
Military training, specialty schools, related experience, or more than 1 year of related experience.
