Purpose of Program
The Parker Hannifin Corporate Summer Internship Program was established in 1978 to identify and develop college students who show promise of being productive Parker employees by providing real-world experience in disciplines critical to Parker's business.
Basic Function:
As an intern, you will gain experience while supporting the department's function.
Provides specialized expertise in one or more human resources functional areas and assists in generalist responsibilities for the location. Aids with projects and programs of diverse scope relating to HR functions. Assists in organizational development and change that supports key business objectives. Observes and promotes adherence to all ethical standards. Applies continuous improvement measures and methods for creating efficient HR administrative processes.
Depending on candidate experience and departmental needs, the HR Internship may provide exposure to:
*HR generalist responsibilities - onboarding processes, record keeping and retention, auditing.
*Social Responsibility/Event Planning - team member recognition programs, community outreach/philanthropy, and other events.
*HRIS administration
*Sort and process incoming resumes
*Schedule interviews
*Maintain the College Recruiting Microsoft Teams site, including resume handling
*Update career pages of
*Schedule info sessions and provide resources needed to execute events
*Market employment opportunities to target audiences
*Assist in planning and executing summer internship workshops/events
*Complete assigned research related to college recruiting and generate reports
*Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects
*Maintain a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external
*Other duties as assigned
We seek interns who will make meaningful contributions in support of our service to our customers and the company's WIN Strategy.

*Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or in a business field, preferably with an HR Minor
*At least two years of undergraduate coursework completed
*Must be available to work during summer 2021 as well as during the school year (2021 - 2022) at our Mayfield Hts., OH location
*Excellent administrative skills
*Detail oriented
*Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
*Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
*Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
*Able to provide high quality customer service through phone calls, email, and face to face interactions
*Strong project management skills required to support multiple projects simultaneously
