Tenneco is seeking a drives, self-motivated Human Resources focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Powertrain plant located in Van Wert, OH.

As a Tenneco Human Resources Intern, you will be given the opportunity to learn about your chosen career field through hands-on work, management shadowing opportunities, and training events, among other responsibilities that support the Human Resources department.

Possible responsibilities include:

Database research and projects
Training system projects
Engagement projects
Assist with onboarding of hourly and salaried staff
Assist with team activities

Required Skills

Required of an Intern:
 Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
 Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
 Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
 Effective time management skills
 Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
 Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
 Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
 Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during the internship period starting January 2021
 Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
 Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
 Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
 Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology (with a focus in human resources) from an accredited institution
 Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
