Certified Peer Recovery Supporter

The function of this position is to provide Peer Recovery Support to people experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Collaboration and communication with Montgomery County ADAMHS, OMHAS, community behavioral health providers, and GESMV staff is essential in this position. Employees are expected to value highest ethical standards, quality clinical care, and good customer service. We also value quality communication skills in a collaborative, multidisciplinary and often multi-agency environment. 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

Responsibilities supervised by an appropriately licensed practitioner include: 
  1. Provides Peer Recovery Support services within supervised scope of practice in collaboration with clients.
  2. Maintains efficient and timely documentation of services within GESMV Behavioral Health guidelines.
  3. Integrates services and/or makes referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies as indicated.
  4. Participates in the assessment of programs needs and peer review, as well as cooperates with performance improvement and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) as defined.
  5. Performs community outreach, information and referral, and education assignments, as well as consultation services as approved by supervisor.
  6. Other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements  

Must be certified as a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. Must maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications. 
Experience Requirements 

Experience as a person with the lived experience of mental illness and/or substance use disorder. One year of experience providing Peer Recovery Support services is preferred. 
Maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
Maintain proof of having auto insurance. 

Maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
