Supply Chain Senior Buyer

Purchase goods, materials and
services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering
price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

Manages and analyzes single
site and moderate risk supply chain projects or activities. Develops single level supply chain business
models to achieve improvements within business processes, raw material
planning, inventory management or logistics costs.

Primary
Responsibilities

*
Purchase goods, materials, or services to
support operational requirements while managing cost, quality and delivery
targets.

*
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and
materials and communicate any supply disruptions which may pose a risk or
impact on business operations.

*
Manage supplier relationships to resolve price,
quality, delivery, or invoicing issues.

*
Research, evaluate, and execute on process
improvement and cost reduction opportunities within the supply chain.

*
Measure, report and improve supplier delivery
performance, inventory turns, and material availability to meet or exceed
business objectives.

*
Analyze Supply Chain (backorder &
deadstock) root causes. Report on and
eliminate root causes.

*
Develop and implement business process
improvements

*
Facilitate intermediate teams having explicit
objectives and scope.

*
Facilitate cross-functional teams having
explicit objectives and scope.

*
Propose, implement and support business tool and
process enhancements (continuous process improvement)

Qualifications
& Competencies:

*
Requires a 4 year degree in Supply Chain,
Finance, Business, Procurement or equivalent experience.

*
Requires 3-5 years of experience in purchasing
good, materials, or services within a manufacturing environment.

*
Builds strong working relationships with
internal and/or external customers

*
Requires ability to define intermediate risk or
intermediate level problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and
implement to achieve the desired results.

*
Willingly accepts assignments that will expand
