Accounting Internship Program
The Parker Accounting Internship Program is focused on the development of new talent by exposing interns to the dynamic and challenging field of corporate and manufacturing accounting.  Interns gain a valuable understanding of real world projects, tasks, challenges, and opportunities that exist within the industry.  This paid internship is used as a springboard into the Accounting Training Program, by which practical experience gained during a summer internship creates an exceptionally prepared accounting trainee.  Students normally work from late May to mid-August and are provided with specific, meaningful, and measurable goals.  An evaluation takes place at the conclusion of the internship and based on favorable results, the intern is either invited back for the next summer or extended an offer to join the Accounting Training Program.
-Assignment at U.S. division or corporate headquarters
-Corporate Site Visit
-Midpoint Review
-Corporate Summer Internship Meeting (first time interns)

-Accounting Trainee Program Interviews (graduating seniors)
Accounting Trainee Program
The Parker Accounting Training Program has existed for over three decades with the main purpose of hiring, developing and retaining accounting professionals.  Through a systematic process of division training and mentoring, trainees are introduced to the Parker accounting ranks and quickly begin to play a significant role in day to day operations of the business.
Parker is a highly decentralized company, and standardized accounting and finance practices are essential. The accounting and finance functions accommodate a training program quite well.  The program allows for consistency among a wide variety of product groups and geographic regions. In addition, the program creates a large pool of internal candidates ready to enter the professional ranks as the company expands and new jobs are created.
The entire value stream, from recruiting to placement, is strategic and closely monitored.  A large investment is made in all the trainees, but the return is invaluable.  Development and retention go hand in hand.  Each class of trainees is a close-knit group of individuals who help motivate and guide each other as they advance in their careers.
-Multiple group and division assignments
-Midpoint and Final review completed at each rotation
-A formal mentor is assigned
-Final Placement at any one of our U.S. divisions/groups
