Job Summary: Under limited supervision, designs, models, configures, tests and installs databases. Documents database backup, recovery, capacity and security plans. Administers, maintains, and implements changes to existing databases to meet customer requirements. Responds to test and production database problems and implements immediate resolution efforts across technology areas. Implements large/multiple development projects. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups. Coaches the development of less senior DBAs.

Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus

Oracle DBA with extensive experience using Oracle RAC and ASM

Oracle replication products (Golden Gate, Data Guard)

Creating and using Pluggable Databases

Performance Tuning experience, System and SQL

Database Quarterly CPU patching

Scripting (Perl, Bash)

RMAN Backup and restoration

Linux Administration skills

Ability to follow and enforce standards, such as security, naming and change control standards

Familiar with working in an Agile environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting

Excellent communication skills, customer service and client management skills

Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Uniontown, Ohio (suburb of Akron, Ohio).

Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
