Position Description:
The Industrial Security Sr. Representative will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and contribute to long-term planning in support of executing the overall business strategy. The role of Industrial Security Sr. Representative also aides in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the Department of Defense and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. The Industrial Security Sr. Representative will also assume the role of the Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
Essential Responsibilities:
The AFSO will be responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to policies, practices, and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and for implementing the policies, practices, and procedures contained within.
Also act as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) which is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure authorization and accreditation of information systems processing U.S. Government classified information.
The ISSM will provide oversight to the facility Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
Manage the activities of a diverse team comprised of a professional staff who are responsible and accountable for Physical Security, Personnel Security, and Communications Security.
Interaction with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency as the ISSM as well as other industrial security related matters.
Investigate National Security program-specific incidents that impact cleared personnel.
Manage security and compliance posture of DoD classified holdings.
Ensure protection of government classified information and company proprietary information
Serve as a key contributor to the Insider Threat Program per DoD requirements
Conduct reviews to include program customer and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency visits and formal inspections.
Working knowledge of all Government systems required to obtain and maintain personnel and facility clearances and classified contracts.
Ensure employees are trained on & adhere to Closed Area/program procedures.
Develop and support security education and awareness program for all cleared personnel
Assists compliance with Communication Security (COMSEC duties and responsibilities (to include inventory, distribution and destruction)
Act as a liaison with the Department of Army (DA) Police.
Provide a safe and secure workplace for the employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university of college plus a minimum of 3 years' experience is preferred or a high school diploma with a minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial security. Applicable experience in lieu of education will be considered.
Extensive experience with personnel security, physical security, JPAS, DISS, SWFT, SIMS, DD254s and document control.
The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure authorization and accreditation of information systems processing U.S. Government classified information. The position requires in-depth working knowledge of and experience with multiple government directives, i.e. NISPOM Chapter 8, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), and comparable industry standards.
The AFSO will be responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to policies, practices, and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and for implementing the policies, practices, and procedures contained within.
Minimum of 3 years of experience administering in a National Industrial Security Program, government, or US Department of Defense setting (Including COMSEC (Communications Security); NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual) experience is preferred.
Possess an active DoD Secret clearance (with an ability to attain and maintain a Top Secret clearance)
Strong oral/written communications skills, interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to answer alarms after hours in a specified time frame
Ability to travel (Candidate should have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The successful candidate will be:
Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen.
Successful in completing the pre-employment process including but not limited to medical exam, drug screen, and background check.
Able to obtain Department of Army unescorted facility access.
Able to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance.
Able to obtain/sustain Anthropometric Size Requirements (ASR) certifications for vehicle entry.
Able to work in a team-based environment.
Able to work in both an office and production floor environment including in temperature extremes, in and around dust, fumes, oils, mists and in areas with a high noise volume.
Able to climb ladders and stairs both onto and into vehicle structures.
Bending, kneeling, standing, stooping and crawling and able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Able to travel occasionally.
