The American Red Cross has a full time Manufacturing Blood Technologists position opening in our Cleveland office.

In this role you will perform basic through advanced manufacturing, processing, and test procedures. Interpret test results.Always comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Comply with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

Qualifications -

Bachelor's degree in science, MT (ASCP) degree or equivalent certifications plus satisfactory performance as a Laboratory Technologist I, or bachelor's degree in science plus three years' experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment required. Must meet State and CLIA requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Manufacture, store and distribute blood products. Meet the quality and quantity production and distribution goals established by the department.
2. Perform and interpret various testing procedures on donor specimens, and blood products. Repeat tests where appropriate.
3. Perform quality control on products, reagents, equipment, and various test kits. Tracks the quantities of QC testing performed to meet ARC and regulatory requirements.
4. May assist with the maintenance, repair, and validation of laboratory equipment.
5. Perform low to high complexity manufacturing procedures.
6. Maintain, edit and review computer and manual records to assure accurate record keeping.
7. Maintain equipment, reagents and other stock to assure the quality and accuracy of laboratory test procedures

Schedule - Monday - Friday, 6:00PM - 2:00AM with rotating weekends and Holidays...

Pay - Around $25 an hour.
