Description
Responsible for the cleaning and landscaping of all outside grounds, which included picking up trash and debris.Removes snow from grounds, entrances, etc. as required for safety and appearance. Operates machinery and equipment in a safe manner. Cleans, maintains and services equipment, including riding and powered equipment. Mows and waters lawns and does minor landscaping.Adheres to regulations and hospital policy, and uses all appropriate safety equipment as required. This includes Infection Control, BSI, Hazardous Material policies and OSHA regulations.Recognizes hazardous materials or unsafe situations and immediately reports them to management.Maintains positive relations with patients, coworkers, vendors, etc. This includes greeting patients and visitors, and offering unsolicited assistance.Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Expertise:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Credentials, License and/or Certifications:
Valid State of Ohio Drivers License
Experience & Knowledge:
2 years experience with lawn and grounds maintenance preferred
Ability to use and maintain related equipment required.
Specific groundskeeper experience in a large hospital is preferred.
Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good follow-up skills.
Notable client service skills required.
Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.
Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
Must be able to perform work while standing, walking, bending, sitting or climbing.
Demonstrated ability to use PCs and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) preferred
Shift: Days 25 hours/wk M-F
