Payer Segment Marketing Intern - Summer 2021
Overview of Position
The internship program provides opportunities to gain practical work experience in a business environment. As a full-time, paid intern, you will be engaged in a variety of projects, and responsible for delivering results, both as an individual and as a member of a team. We welcome your fresh perspective and energy, as you gain experience in a fast-paced business environment. This is a great opportunity to jump start your career!
The internship program begins with orientation and training, which will provide you with all the necessary information and resources to ensure your success over the course of the 12-week program. After orientation, you will begin to work with your assigned manager and team on various projects throughout your internship; you will receive ongoing feedback, as well as formal performance reviews. In your final weeks at Change Healthcare, you will participate in a presentation to senior leadership, reviewing the projects in which you have been engaged and the value you have added to the organization. Every aspect of this internship program is designed to enhance professional development.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
The Payer Segment Marketing Intern is an individual contributor on the marketing team responsible for assisting Marketing Senior Leaders and teams with projects, administrative tasks, executing team initiatives, and providing support for various functional areas within marketing.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Current college student entering junior or senior year or graduate student pursuing a bachelor's/master's in marketing, communications, or a closely related business major
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (resumes must indicate GPA for consideration)
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
Proficient PC skills to include MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Effective written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
Project management experience
Summer, volunteer, or internship work experience
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Demonstrated ability to manage administrative processes and workflows in a marketing organization
Ability to take on new challenges and work independently, provided with project objectives and guidelines
Have the ability and desire to consistently achieve on-time, quality results
Demonstrate excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize effectively
Be energetic and enthusiastic to learn, individually and as a member of a team
