About the Job

VP, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer

Change maker. Influencer and collaborator. Thought leader. You leave your mark by infusing diversity, equity, and inclusion into cultures.

Now, it's time for your biggest play yet.

Our company is evolving and you will help facilitate this change by ensuring we continue to build and cultivate a diverse, inclusive culture where all employees can and want to do their best work.

As a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, we are at the forefront of innovation - expanding human possibility by making the world more intelligent, more connected and more productive. Our employees are the core of it all. They are innovators, problem solvers, builders and makers dedicated to making our world work better. We believe that having a truly diverse and inclusive culture is the only way we will realize the full potential of their innovation, ingenuity and teamwork.

To drive toward this mission, the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer will build on our existing foundation and culture of diversity and inclusion to evolve our strategy and accelerate our progress. This leader will help define and implement programs to build and maintain a multiethnic and gender diverse workforce at Rockwell Automation. This person will report to our Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative and Legal Officer and manage a team responsible for designing and implementing a holistic program, including partnering with business leaders and external community partners.

You will bring thought leadership, a compelling vision for success and deep knowledge of the DEI space. You are fluent in collaboration and influence, and you 're not afraid to make a few waves to ensure we are aligned on our diversity and inclusion goals and are constantly looking for new and better ways to attract and retain and engage a diverse group of employees.

As the CDEI, you will drive:

Design and implement a holistic, global, enterprise-wide DEI strategy applying macro-trends, research, analysis and benchmarks that reflects and addresses different needs and approaches in different markets
Partner and collaborate with key leaders across the enterprise, including strategic sourcing for supply chain/supplier diversity, total rewards for pay equity, talent management for succession and leadership development and company culture, talent acquisition for attraction and recruiting, and public affairs for external partnering and community engagement
Serve as a thought leader inside and outside of the organization on all aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to Rockwell Automation
Identify new programs or initiatives that can bolster diversity within our company and that reflect the best expertise in this space; from increasing representation to ensuring we have an inclusive culture that truly reflects our values and cultural tenants
Work with external organizations and partners to help address barriers to diversity and inclusion that exist in the communities in which we live and work

Measurement and Accountability

Establish key metrics to assess and measure results of DEI initiatives as well as progress against key commitments and the broader DEI strategy
Drive accountability and transparency around targeted improvements in diverse representation, particularly at leadership levels
Evaluate data to identify trends and barriers to diversity and inclusion
Develop and oversee the delivery of effective diversity and inclusion training and awareness programs

Organizational Leadership

Oversee Employee Resource Groups, providing guidance and direction and ensuring these groups have the appropriate resources and level of influence within the organization
Provide leadership, development, and mentorship to a high performing team

Qualifications

What we need from you:

10-15 years of experience in HR, Marketing, Product, Diversity & Inclusion or other related fields; at least 5 years focused on Diversity & Inclusion
Thought leadership and a deep understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging discipline
Extensive collaborative skills that enable solid levels of influence at all levels, from C-suite to mid-career management, without direct reporting structure
Ability to balance passion, critical thinking, and data driven insights to make positive decisions and recommendations to build and deliver on our company's diversity, equality and inclusion strategy
Excellence in communication, training and presentation to various audiences, including C-suite and Board of Directors, internal leaders and customers, global employees, external partner organizations, customers, media and other social channels
Ability to work cross functionally while aligning DEI strategy and goals with the overall company strategy and direction
